Anglian Garden Services Case study

Brief:

To create a low maintenance, child friendly garden for a family on a reasonable budget. Also, to provide areas for both children & adults so that both can enjoy the garden in their own different ways.

Method:

Construction of a summer house area erected on a new concrete base, this to be used by the owner as a home office as well as a place for the family to relax together. Separate area for the children to play football & general play area – old lawn removed and a new lawn laid, which although tough enough to cope with children’s activities is also of a good quality & so looks green & pristine. Trellis is used in the garden to separate & divide areas – using heavy duty lattice style in a concave shape to add extra interest. The third area involves a brick circle planted with a selection of grasses & easy to maintain plants providing colour & interest for the ‘adult’ portion of the plot. Again trellis is used to separate this area while a herb garden & patio provide a place to sit in summer & a source of herbs for the kitchen close to the house.

Result:

Original brief is fulfilled & the garden achieves the aspirations of the owners. The project is completed on time & to budget, with the minimum of disturbance to the family while being constructed.
